The New Generation of Water Fighting: A Review of the Spyra 3 Water Gun
Summer days, sunshine, and the cheerful laughter of friends and family around the pool. What could make this fantastic setting even better? A water fight of course! But now we're going to talk about not just any water fight but one equipped with the world's most powerful and advanced water guns: the Spyra 3.
Background of the Spyra series
As the name suggests, this is the third generation of the Spyra series. The Spyra has already proven itself with the first two models, but now the company is introducing yet another new model: the Spyra 3. This is the third model in the series, but don't be fooled by the simple name. It is more than a simple update of the previous water guns.
Features of the Spyra 3 water pistol
The Spyra 3 comes with plenty of impressive features. Firstly, there is the fully automated operation. If you put the gun in a bucket of water and move the button forward, the gun will fill automatically, this takes a maximum of 10 seconds before the gun is completely filled. Then you can start shooting and the Spyra 3 will do all the hard work for you. An advanced display shows how much water you have left and what the status of your battery is
The Spyra 3 shoots further than most water guns I've ever seen. It is almost unparalleled, able to hit your target up to 10 meters away with incredibly high accuracy. You can use a slider to choose between three game modes: League, Burst, and Open. In League mode, the Spyra 3's range can even reach up to 15 meters, so your opponents will need to be well prepared.
You can charge the water gun via a USB-C port, the charging status can be monitored on the built-in display. Best of all, you don't have to worry about spraying anyone with dirty water; Thanks to an integrated smart filter of the Spyra 3, the tank is protected against dirt particles, making the gun last longer.
Our practical experience
I had the pleasure of testing the Spyra 3 for myself. This water pistol is really intended for older children/adults because it is quite large and heavy. It is still a bit too big for my sons (3 and 4 years old). Nevertheless, they naturally want to play with it all the time with mom and dad. We also have two smaller versions at home for our two boys, so we were able to have a small water fight. The different game modes are a very nice addition, bringing the water fight to a whole new level of strategy and competition.
We had a lot of fun with them, especially when we took the pistols with us for a weekend away with friends. Thanks to the fast reload time, I was never out of battle for long and we felt like kids again with a fantastic water fight.
Price and availability
If all this sounds like music to your ears, you can get your own Spyra 3 for €149. I opted for a 2-pack with a red and a blue Spyra 3 for € 280.12. The pistols are therefore available in two colors: red and blue, so you can choose which color suits you best. Although the price is a bit higher than your average water gun, the quality and experience you get in return is, in my opinion, well worth the investment. As far as I'm concerned, it really is a next generation water pistol.
Our conclusion
As mentioned before, the Spyra 3 is not just any water pistol; it's a game changer. With its advanced features and unparalleled performance, it takes water fighting to a completely new level. Whether you're an adult looking for some summer fun, or a kid ready to become the king of the water fight, the Spyra 3 is the perfect choice. The unique experience and even the small recoil it gives while shooting complete the experience.
Of course, as with any product, there are some drawbacks. The price may be a stumbling block for some, and the powerful beam may not be suitable for the very young. But overall, the Spyra 3 is an impressive toy that will make any child's heart (and adults like me) beat faster.
